Basic, mom & pop, hole-in-the-wall Cantonese BBQ joint with limited seating. Quick to-go service and friendly, efficient staff. Excellent roast duck - fatty and flavorful with every bite! Their congee is also one of the best in the area. Great prices for large portions. Fantastic value!

I've been going here for a good 4-5 years. Super fast service, very high quality food at a fantastic value - as of Jan 2025 the 3-item combo is still 13.61, same price since March 2023! Also shown is soy sauce chicken with noodles. Meats are delicious, the rice and cabbage you get with the combo are great. The beef chow fun is good, and I would like to try their brisket sometime! Of the three or so BBQ joints in the immediate area, Ton Kiang is the best. Note this is a take-out place.

Ordered their wonton soup as a last meal before I get on my train down south. The wontons were huge! Generous pork and shrimp filling and nice thin skins. Broth was gentle and savory and the noodles were uniform and had a nice soft but bouncy texture. Seems like they only do to-go orders but there is a lovely park a block away (location of photos taken) where you can sit down to eat if you’d like. The lady taking orders when I went was super friendly and a joy to talk to. I didn’t try their roast meats but the duck and pork belly hanging in the window looked well seasoned and I’d love to try them next time I’m here!

Ton kiang has never failed my expectation in the past several years I’ve lived in Seattle. They are a hole in the wall and usually there are two people running the show so they’re pretty busy. All their rice/noodle dishes comes with a lovely wok hay that you don’t get at many Chinese restaurants, not to mention at such an affordable price. I got those four boxes of food and it lasts three meals for two foodies. This will forever be one of my favorite places and I will always come back to explore more menu items! 锅气十足 物美价廉 东江真是打工人午餐首选!

My go to place for southern Chinese bbq in Seattle. It’s better than the other places I’ve had, super value as well. My go to is the duck and soy sauce chicken combo with rice. Togo only and family owned place. The owner is nice and speaks enough English. On a sunny day it’s nice to eat the meal in the ID park nearby.

This is the best Cantonese BBQ in Seattle. If you ever find yourself heading to Uwajimaya or the rest of the ID on Mon-Sat and you want roast pork, do yourself a favor and head here instead. For a cheaper price you can get fresh roast pork that is to die for. Well marinated, crunchy, and juicy. The dry beef chow fun is also a staple and is always cooked hot to order. I've ordered from here many many times and never been disappointed. P.S.: If you want roast chicken you might want to call in ahead. It's very popular.

On my way to dim sum next door (Homestyle, also recommended!), I saw Ton Kiang, looked it up, and decided to give it a try after seeing the good reviews. It's a takeout only store with no seats. My husband got his usual combo with BBQ Pork (叉烧) and crispy roasted pork (烧肉). The combo meat with rice also comes with some cabbages, I guess to clean the palate and give you some fibers. Unless the NY style we have in NYC, the BBQ pork doesn't come with sauce, but already flavorful enough. I got a little bit of BBQ spare ribs to try, it's flavorful but a little salty for me since I didn't eat it with rice. Probably would be perfect if you eat the ribs with rice. The owner couple are very friendly. I am glad that we stopped by here and had a little chat with them.
